HONDA XR250 TORNADO

Having rented this model for the past 18 years, I have not yet found any other bike, which works as perfect for a single rider with some luggage. It gets you easily way above the max. speed limit of 90km/h (60 miles/h). And once leaving paved roads, you will appreciate its lightweight and versatile handling. A decent sized gas-tank and economic fuel-consumption gives you range of some 250km. Its bullet-proved air-/oil cooled engine won´t let you down. For shorter riders we can lower this bike in suspension and put a low cushioned seat on.

HONDA NX4 FALCON

You want to stay mainly on paved roads (but still like being prepared for some serious gravel sections), or you are an XXL guy that needs some extra torque? Then the Honda NX4 Falcon is a good choice. Being a bit softer in suspension than the XR250 and with a wider saddle, it is the most comfortable bike in our fleet. It´s 400cc single-cylinder oil/air-cooled engine is well known for its reliability, as it has been used for many years in the XR400. Perfect bike for: Big guys, lightweight couples with luggage, anyone who wants some extra.

SUZUKI DR650SE

If I will ever get to ride from Alaska to Chile on a bike, this is the model I would choose. The single cylinder 650cc engine has a powerful torque across all revs, while the bike being still versatile, narrow and lightweight. Perfect bike for: ambitious off-road riders who are willing to sacrifice function over comfort. Or for couples with little luggage.

KAWASAKI KLR650

The KLR650 is a long-time classic when it comes down to big dual sport bikes. Its water-cooled 650cc engine develops an impressive torque throughout the full rev-range. Ideal for real big guys or couples traveling with a decent amount of luggage (optional side-panniers are available). The wide and comfortable saddle in combination with the huge gas tank makes it the perfect long-distance traveler. While still good for dirt-roads and easy gravel trails it is NOT the sort of bike that you want to ride on the local MX-track or on demanding single-trails. Due to its size and weight, riders should be fairly tall and count with a decent amount of riding experience.
